Countdown presenter Nick Hewer has revealed Colin Murray will step in to interchange him on the favored gameshow whereas he “shields at dwelling” throughout lockdown.

The previous Apprentice star has been the common host on the Channel Four present since he changed Jeff Stelling in 2012.

However the 76-year-old has mentioned he can be stepping again from the present, joking his household had “handcuffed me to a radiator”.

Nonetheless, Hewer followers can relaxation assured the change is just short-term, because the presenter requested Murray to “hold my chair heat”.

He took to Twitter to inform followers of the transfer on Monday (9 November).

He added: “Between you and me, I’d have confidently carried on, however the household has handcuffed me to a radiator, saying ‘you’re not going wherever’. So have enjoyable Colin and hold my chair heat for me.”

Murray tweeted to indicate his gratitude for Hewer’s greatest needs.

Northern Eire-born Murray is thought for his radio and TV work, together with stints on TalkSport, 5 Stay and Match of the Day.

He joked to followers that stepping in to fill Hewer’s footwear was an indication he has “handed into maturity”.
